Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a mid-level Technical Narrative Designer to bridge the creative and technical aspects of storytelling within our next title, Project Sirius, a multiplayer game set within the world of The Witcher. In this role, you will be part of a growing team helping to design and build our storytelling systems and tools, as well as supporting the implementation of narrative.

This role reports to the Lead Narrative Designer. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the narrative design process in collaboration with the narrative team and additional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering to develop tools that support and streamline narrative development workflows.
  • Implement, debug, and polish the presentation of narrative content.
  • Create and maintain narrative team resources including style guides, best practices, and design documentation.
  • Work across various departments to integrate story elements that bring to life and champion the narrative vision.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a narrative or design role on a story-forward game.
  • Proven track record of owning features from concept to implementation.
  • The ability to communicate fluently with engineers around technical implementation of tools and pipelines.
  • Familiarity with dynamic narrative systems.
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine, Blueprints.
  • Curiosity, kindness, and a positive, professional attitude.
     

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience with localization.
  • Experience with scripting or programming tools.
  • A passion for storytelling and its presentation.
  • Experience with cinematic design and cinematography.

Working model

  • Office-First: working from the Warsaw studio for a minimum of 10 days per month.
