Parents Celebrate Another Successful RED Summer Camp for Kids

As summer comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to highlight one of the employee initiatives we’re most proud of at CD PROJEKT RED — the RED Summer Camp for Kids. We know that parenting while working full time can be challenging, especially during the school summer break, so we do our best to make things a little easier.

Majoritively funded by CD PROJEKT RED, the RED Summer Camp for Kids welcomes our employees’ children aged 5–12. This year we set up four camps across Poland — in Warsaw, Wrocław, and Kraków — and created an outer space theme for the young adventurers to explore.

My daughter has made some really cool friends; the other children were all so great. I’m glad they have the opportunity to get to know each other.

The close-to-100 children who took part in the program all received special backpacks and other gadgets, and each day were picked up and taken to different activities by their camp counselors — all with the aim of providing a valuable experience full of learning and fun. This was a highlight for many: “The best part was the counselor who played with them — she was their favorite,” said our Accountant Julita Wańszys. And we had good reviews from the kids too.

”We were at a super playground,” said Zosia, aged seven. “There were some cool slides there.” Many others cited a special robotics workshop as their favorite part of the RED Summer Camp for Kids, including Kalinka, also aged seven. “We built a swing from LEGO blocks and then on the computer we made it so that it moved,” she said.

Our RED parents also received this good feedback, including, adorably, from one of the youngest adventurers: five-year-old Ola. “Mom, I made a friend,” she rejoiced upon being picked up one day.

Lots of happy kids means lots of happy parents, and we were grateful to hear positive feedback from our REDs too. “My girls attended activities every day with great enthusiasm and always came back happy,” said Grzegorz Magiera, our Lead Character Artist. “We had nothing but positive opinions — if only the camp lasted even longer!”

As a working parent, I really appreciated the convenience of being able to drop her off and pick her up at the office.

Our Senior Previz Artist, Anna Szustak-Borowska, added: “For me, the biggest advantage of RED Summer Camp for Kids is that my daughter has made some really cool friends; the other children were all so great. I'm glad they have the opportunity to get to know each other.”

Thanks to the kids being picked up at 9 AM and dropped off at 5 PM at the office each day, parents were able to rest (or work) easy knowing everything was taken care of. “I really value how welcoming and inclusive the camp was — especially as an expat family,” said Joshua Flowers, our Design Team Lead. “My daughter had a great time, made friends, and looked forward to each day. As a working parent, I really appreciated the convenience of being able to drop her off and pick her up at the office.”

Thank you so much to our camp counsellors and everyone else who helped put the 2025 RED Summer Camp for Kids together. We are so proud to offer this initiative to our REDs but it wouldn’t be possible without you all. We’re already looking forward to next year.
